Live Music
The scale of any live music act can vary dramatically depending on the event. For example, when people first think of a live music event people tend to imagine packed out arena or football stadium with thousands of people singing along and enjoying the music. However, often live music can be on a much smaller scale, such as a wedding, privately hired nightclub or even Sunday morning church services.
Also what may seem surprising to some people is the music genre at these live concerts. Again people tend to have a preconceived idea of a typical live music event; loud and aggressive music where people can really lose themselves in the content. But again to the contrary, often live music is supplied as a quiet background source of entertainment, for example at an evening dinner event, where the socialising is the primary entertainment, jazz music in employed just to help relax the mood.
Live music can be very useful in many situations as mentioned above and therefore provides plenty of opportunities for up-and-coming musicians to make a name for themselves. Live music is entertaining and therefore has plenty of scope for people to use and get involved in. Musicians often have to start off at smaller events and then can work up to the international stage. Muse, an English rock band is the perfect example for this. They stated off playing in their hometown garage and playing small gigs, but ten to fifteen years later they are regularly voted as the best live band of the year, sell out at all their concerts and subsequently make millions.
